Volunteer Opportunities:

  • As part of their annual Community Pride Project, the Wheatland Wheaties 4H Club will be refurbishing some of the schoolroom decorations that have faded over time.  Members of the Wheaties will also be helping out with the Ice Cream Social Event in June.

City of Lonsdale:

  • The City of Lonsdale will be fixing up and painting the outside of the schoolhouse during the summer of 2008.
  • With help from the Wheatland Wheaties and Jean Palma, the City of Lonsdale has created a 3R Landmark School Webpage to help encourage visits to the school and promote membership.
  • The City of Lonsdale is currently working to get directional signage placed along MN Hwy 19 to help people locate the historic site.
